We are very proud to have this handsome sundgau buck, Lainey’s last, in the herd, and, at age 4, we now have evidence that Limerick is a sire whose daughters are extremely consistent and stylish. We are seeing improvement in virtually every category of the score card. His daughters are uniformly long bodied, very level, uphill does with an overall elegance of type. They excel in feet and legs, especially rear leg angle, and have excellent width in the escutcheon. His 4 first freshening daughters appraised 89, 89, 88,and 88, with 89 the highest score allowed a first freshener!! His two young does (Dinah and Hosanna) in the herd both appraised Ec overall with Ec in general appearance! Dinah earned her dry leg the only time shown in 2006. Mammary systems are exquisite, with high arched rear udders, and incredible fore extension, with smoothly blended fore udders. Out of Joie, with her very large teats, he produced two daughters with ideal teat size! The one caution, and feature that he does not improve is front legs; a few offspring have turned out some in front legs. He appears VERY consistent in improvement of teat size and placement, rump angle, and rear leg set.

We love Limerick’s stature, and his rear leg angle. He has the rear leg set we have been aiming for for generations! He is very dairy, with excellent width and blending in the front end, and an exceptionally level topline and rump. At FS 91 (EEE), he holds the highest linear appraisal score we have had in a buck. Limerick’s sire, Liason, is a half brother to 4 X National GCH Willow Run Armand Rishona. Liason did extremely well for the Kickapoo Valley herd, producing a number of GCH does, including CH Music LA 90, CH Lullaby, and CH Lyric.  Limerick’s dam, GCH Lainey, was a proven and valuable brood doe in our herd; her daughters included  Sorcerer Layla FS 90, Lindsey FS 89, and Limerick’s beautiful twin sister, Delaney, FS 90 (VEVE) (sold).
