Maritsa is another tall, wide and level Petey daughter. Exceptionally smoothly blended over the withers and correct in front end structure, Maritsa  freshened in 2011 with a lovely mammary, having ideally placed teats (albeit a little larger than ideal) and tremendous fore extension. Shown twice, she placed 2nd both times behind Callie.  Always in Callie's shadow, she was shown twice as a kid, placing third in her class (behind Callie) at Southern VT and 2nd in the other show (also behind Callie). Shown twice as a dry yearling in 2010, she placed 2nd (behind Callie) but 1st and Junior Champion at the Southern VT show (earning her dry leg) once we left Callie at home! Shown three times as a two year old first freshener, she placed 3X 2nd, again behind Callie. Maritsa's triplet sister went Best Junior Doe in Show in Connecticut, and was Reserve Junior Champion at the Big E 4H show! Her triplet brother, an impressively long and extremely level buck, is in an Iowa herd. Her 2010 full brother is working in an Alberta, Canada herd.  Maritsa milked 10.4 lbs. on her first test as a first freshener and peaked at 13 lbs.! We have very high hopes for this doe and look forward to seeing her freshen as a three year old. We have repeated the breeding of Marta and Petey for the fourth time this breeding season.
