 Sibelius was an easy choice for a new herd sire in 2007.  His pedigree represents lines already present in our herd with the exciting addition of  his sire's genetics.  Music is a stunning Liason daughter, who placed second in her class in the 2006 National Show right behind the National Champion, first in her class at the 2007 National, then in 2008 at age 9, RESERVE NATIONAL CHAMPION!! She is a well proven brood doe as well; her daughters in the Kickapoo Valley herd include CH Kickapoo Valley Land Symphony FS 91 (E E E E), and KV Gold Vibrato, FS 87 as a yearling. 

Sibelius' sire, Saga, is a son of the incomparable GCH Stardust Cordite Saba 12 *M,  who appraised FS 93!  Saga appraised FS 90  as a three year old, and his value not only as senior herd sire at Kickapoo Valley but in Alpine history has become very clear. Daughters placed 5th and 11th two year olds at the 2006 National show, where a number of his junior daughters placed in the top ten in their classes. A Saga daughter, Xangle, was first place junior kid at the 2007 National. Saga sired the 1st/1st udder yearling, the 4th, 12th, and 13th place two-year old, and the 6th/2nd udder four year old at the 2008 National.  The Jodlowski's state that he has at least 6 GCH offspring.  Saga has been named named Premier Sire for three consecutive National shows, in 2006, 2007, and 2008, and daughters comprised his 2007 first place Junior Get of Sire! He is also sire to one of the 2009 Spotlight Sale consignments.

Sibelius is a handsome young buck, who shows tremendous strength of bone, and structural correctness throughout. He has gained a great deal of depth of body as he has matured. He is very gentle and easily handled.  His daughters are strong, wide does with beautiful toplines and correct set to the legs. His daughter, Mercy, placed GCH and Best Junior Doe in Show at Southern VT in 2009 in a large show with stiff competition!  Also his first daughter to freshen in the herd, Mercy has has a lovely mammary, showing definite improvement in teat size and placement over her dam.
